Harry Chapin Grant Awarded to Support Bounty & Soul Latino

We are honored and grateful to announce that we have received a grant from the Harry Chapin Foundation of $5,000, awarded to Bounty & Soul in support of the Latino program. Bounty & Soul Latino focuses on working alongside the Latinx community to bring weekly fresh and culturally aligned food markets, health & wellness classes, cooking demonstrations, English as a Second Language, computer classes, as well as community outreach events held throughout the year.

“With the support of the Harry Chapin Foundation, Bounty & Soul is building strong partnerships within Latinx communities and working collaboratively to create greater food and health equity.” says Ali Casparian, ED. “Ultimately, the program has grown to become an important community hub and resource center, and we are deeply thankful for the steadfast support of the Foundation for supporting this vital work in the community.”

As stated on the Foundation’s website, “Singer-songwriter-philanthropist Harry Chapin believed every person could make a difference in the world. Even small acts of kindness add up to make the world a better place.”
