Ingredients

  • 1 large fresh burdock root
  • 4 Cups water

Instructions

  • Thoroughly wash burdock root.
  • Peel the entire root with a potato peeler or knife into thin strips (keep the skin!)
  • Put strips in a pot and add water. Bring to a boil, heat uncovered 10 minutes.
  • Cover with lid and simmer for another 10 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and allow to steep for another 20 minutes.
  • Strain and serve warm.
