Home-Made Muesli
Ingredients
- Select a combination of the following ingredients taking 2-3 kinds of each: cereals, seeds, nuts and fruits Make in large glass jar OR store in ziploc bag.
- 4-5 cups cereal grains Rolled oats, steel cut oats, oat flakes, quinoa, teff, bulgar, wheat germ
- 1 cup any seeds pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, chia, flax,hemp
- 2 cups any nuts walnuts, pecans, peanuts, almonds, pistachios, coconut flakes
- 1 ½ any dried fruits raisins, cranberries, blueberries, cherries, pineapple, apple,dates, figs, banana chips,
- Seasonings: cinnamon/ vanilla/ unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- Cut larger dried fruits into smaller pieces. Combine all the dry ingredients in a large jar OR ZIPLOC BAG and shake well. You’ll need about 45 grams (1/2 cup) per serving.
- Serve with fresh fruits, unsweetened coconut or almond milk and sweeteners like honey, stevia, maple syrup. You can soak your muesli in milk and leave it overnight to soften and infuse the flavor. Enjoy!
