Good afternoon.
We recently started going to the Bounty and Soul market and have really appreciate all your hard work and your partners’ generosity. When my unemployment ran out right before Thanksgiving and I still hadn’t found a job, I was kind of worried about how we were gonna eat. Then, I saw the Bounty and Soul one Friday afternoon on the way home from an unsuccessful job interview. I decided on the spur of the moment to turn in to the old Bi Lo parking lot. We have gone to the markets every week since. It has been a big help to know we will be able to supplement our tiny food budget.
Today, when we went there were lovely yellow roses (my favorite color of roses). The box we received didn’t have one of the roses so I asked if I could have one. Not only did the lady give me a yellow rose, she asked me if I wanted more than one to which I said definitely! I received a whole bouquet of beautiful bright yellow roses!! It was like a handful of sunshine in my hand!
January was rough and I anticipate the next court of months as being only slightly less so. But, less so nonetheless. Thank you again for doing what you do. I have more hope than I have had in several months and those yellow roses are really a bright spot in my house.
