Dark Chocolate Turtles
Ingredients
2
cups
dark chocolate chips (ideally over 75% cacao),
divided in two bowls
20
pecan halves
20
raisins
or 10 dates
flaked sea salt for sprinkling
Optional:
Substitute pecans with fruit or use additions such as bananas, strawberries, pears, or oranges
Instructions
In a microwave safe bowl melt ½ of the chocolate chips, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
Place a teaspoon size dollop of melted chocolate on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Top with one pecan or slice of fruit of choice and one raisin, pressing to flatten.
Top with another spoonful of chocolate.
Repeat steps 2-4 with the remaining ½ of chocolate chips.
Sprinkle with sea salt and refrigerate until firm, about 10 minutes
