With the support of the Bounty & Soul community--local growers & farmers, donors, funders, local grocers and distributors, participants, passionate volunteers, & staff, we were able to quickly respond to the growing needs due to COVID-19. By coming together as a community, we have been able to innovate and adapt  to continue our mission of connecting people with nutritious foods, education, & each other, with positivity, co-resilience, passion and hope.

  • We transitioned our 5 weekly markets into 2 weekly drive-thru pickup distribution sites located at a vacant grocery store parking lot to accommodate the over 1000 cars that come each week . View Schedule
  • We have instituted strict safety protocols to ensure that the safety and health of our volunteers, staff and participants is our first priority.
  • We have successfully raised funds  to support the local economy by purchasing from local farmers and local businesses, doing our part to help support those hit hard by the crisis.
  • We have partnered with local farmers, growers, distributors, businesses and retail stores to provide each participant a BOUNTIFUL box of fresh nutrient dense food each week.  View our Partners
  • Our education has continued by providing both written and virtual health & wellness resources like recipes, nutrition information,  online classes and "what's in your box" cooking demos .  View Classes & Information  and  View Recipes
  • We deliver hope and positivity by putting fresh cut flowers and hand-made cards with inspiring and heart-felt messages in each food box . During a market, you will find staff and volunteers dressed in veggies costumes, music playing and lots of smiles.
  • We held our annual UGrow Community Dig Day, where we gave out 4000 plant starts and gardening education. Learn More

I made the asparagus soup recipe on the sheet that yall gave out yesterday in the produce bags and it was delicious!

I was able to get to Black Mtn, yay! I received spinach, carrots, onions, yellow squash, zucchini, green beans, bananas, melon and fusilli. I am very GRATEFUL!! I noticed some bags had flowers in them, HOW LOVELY, what a nice touch!

It was a fabulous selection today and it was great fun coming home to see what we got. And I love the fruit and veggie costumes!

The first time I went to the drive thru food pickup on my drive home I cried tears of gratitude...I get so excited unpacking the bag that I often audibly exclaim and dance around in celebration of the wonders of the bounty, especially the fresh berries.

Great flow! Volunteers smiling, working together... it was an extra blessing for all the goodies in the box for my family! I was able to pick up a box for a client also who is homebound due to COVID-19.

I just had fresh green beans and sweet potatoes for lunch. It is like Christmas going through the bag to see what we get! Some to freeze, some to sort and eat right away. Even a rose! Yay, This was a huge blessing today.

Your organization gave me such a profound gift today....to awaken from my nonchalance and to be reminded of the precious gifts that makes life possible.... you offer hope, nourishment, and a belief in the goodness of others.
