Mindful Monday: Mindful Poetry for Beginners

Each Monday, we gather as a community to welcome the week with mindfulness and intention. Every session offers a unique way to cultivate presence, reflection, and connection.

This Monday, join us for a Mindful Poetry Class—a gentle invitation to bring mindfulness into authentic expression through writing.

This class weaves together meditation, contemplation, and poetry as a way to slow down, tune inward, and give voice to what arises. The intention is to cultivate awareness, compassion, and curiosity around what it feels like to be still, to write, and—if you choose—to share your words in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. No prior writing or poetry experience is necessary, and there will be no criticism or pressure to share.

The class will flow as follows:

  • Opening poem

  • 10-minute guided meditation

  • 10 minutes of contemplation, with optional exploratory note-taking

  • 20 minutes of free writing

  • Optional sharing of writing (with mindful speaking and listening)

  • Closing reflections and questions

Come as you are. Whether you’re new to writing or have an established practice, this class offers a nourishing space to slow down, listen deeply, and connect—both with yourself and with others. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in. Spots are limited, so reserve yours soon.
