Preserving the Harvest Workshop with Fermenti’s Meg Chamberlin

May 20 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Welcome to Community Roots Month! Each May, our classes celebrate the growing season while sharing practical gardening knowledge with our community. Throughout the month, participants explore everything from building strong garden foundations to preserving the bounty of the season—gaining the skills and inspiration to grow, nurture, and enjoy the abundance of spring.

Preserving the Harvest Workshop with Fermenti’s Meg Chamberlin

This May, discover how to preserve fresh produce through fermentation! Join Meg Chamberlin, owner and founder of Fermenti, for a hands-on workshop celebrating both sustainability and flavor.

Meg will guide participants through the simple, time-honored art of fermentation, demonstrating how seasonal vegetables can be transformed into vibrant, probiotic-rich foods that last well beyond the growing season. Working step-by-step with their own fermentation kit, participants will learn practical techniques for extending the life of fresh ingredients while reducing food waste.
