On April 21st, at 5:30pm, Mindful Eating & Cooking Class -Join Charlotte, studying Nutrition & Dietetics and minoring in Spanish at Western Carolina University, in this hour long class dedicated to mindful eating + mindful cooking practices.
On April 28th, at 5:30pm, Carolina Resource Center for Eating Disorders (CRC for ED): Eating Disorders 101, Carolina Resource Center for Eating Disorders (CRC for ED) will review
-truths about eating disorders
-warning signs and symptoms
-diagnoses and their respective behaviors
-positive vs pathological nutrition
-diet culture and the relationship between dieting and disordered eating
-when disordered eating becomes an eating disorder
-language to use with someone who may experience an eating disorder
-information about where to go for resources, support, and perhaps treatment
