We are kicking off National Volunteer Appreciation Month by highlighting two incredible volunteers who just received our You’ve Got Soul award Ella and Wilson Davis have continued to go the extra mile throughout the pandemic. When school shifted to virtual platforms they chose to dedicate time each week giving back, helping to curate the base of our bountiful boxes at St. James They’ve been a constant since last March and play a critical role in queuing us up for success at weekly markets.
“I have enjoyed Wilson and Ella’s company so much over the past year,” reflects Food Distribution Coordinator Adam, “They have been an incredible support for the organization! Their positive spirit and amazing work ethic has proven itself time and time again as they have been pillars in creating the foundation for our boxes that reach hundreds of households each week.” We will miss these two as Wilson transitions back to onsite school and Ella travels to college this fall but they’ll always have a “home” to come back to with us.
