On Wednesday, July 26th, representatives from Bank of America – including Asheville President Andy Nadeau, Asheville Market Executive April Brown, and Bounty & Soul’s Bank of America volunteer champion Katelyn Folan – gathered together with Bounty & Soul staff, volunteers, and market participants to present a check in celebration of a 2023 grant awarded to Bounty & Soul.
With the support of our local Bank of America in Asheville, Bounty & Soul was chosen to receive $25,000 from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation. This funding will provide fresh, culturally-relevant foods, wellbeing education, and resources through the Bounty & Soul Latino Market and Rooted in Health program, all delivered in Spanish.
“Supporting partners like Bounty & Soul ensures they have the resources to meet the needs of residents in Western North Carolina experiencing one of our greatest challenges, food insecurity,” said Andy Nadeau, President, Bank of America Asheville. “Their outreach to diverse communities, including through their free weekly Latino Market, aligns with our commitment to supporting minority communities and to advancing economic opportunity.”
“We are deeply grateful to Bank of America for this investment and for recognizing the impact of Bounty & Soul’s Latino Market in the community,” says Ali Casparian, Bounty & Soul’s Founder and Executive Director. “Bank of America stands beside us not only as financial supporters, but as partners dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the community.”
