Two seasonal positions are with our Farmers Alliance Program
The Farmers Alliance Program focuses on collaboratively strengthening the local food system through building and nourishing Bounty & Soul’s relationships with farmers, growers, gardens, businesses, and other food security organizations. This program is committed to community-led solutions to providing access to fresh, locally sourced and grown foods through an equity and sustainability lens. These positions will work with the Farmers Alliance Program Manager to assist in increasing the quantity and variety of locally grown foods provided at Bounty & Soul’s no-cost fresh produce markets, while cultivating reciprocal relationships with grower partners.
One year-round position is with our Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP) Program
HOP is the nation’s first comprehensive program to test evidence-based, nonmedical interventions designed to improve the health of Medicaid beneficiaries. Bounty & Soul is one of more than 50 organizations providing HOP services in Western North Carolina. This position will be part of the team that provides eligible Medicaid members with a weekly delivery of groceries through a HOP service called Healthy Food Box. Through this program, we deliver grocery bags full of fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins, healthy snacks, spices, and recipes right to people’s doorstep. This position will include client communications, food procurement, packing medically and culturally appropriate groceries, and grocery delivery.
