- 19,000 hot meals with the help of World Central Kitchen and other local restaurants and businesses to the most hard-hit neighborhoods
- 5 tons of essential supplies – everything from water to baby supplies to blankets to generators
- 12 tons of fresh produce through our Farmers Market Truck – a mobile unit delivering fresh food, hope and creating a vital connection for neighbors and community

A Story of Hope and Strength
One of the hardest-hit areas we serve is Swannanoa, where we witnessed the profound impact, our work has on lives like Emilia’s.
Before Hurricane Helene struck, Emilia was living a happy life in Swannanoa. She lived on property with her sons, who owned a local mechanic shop. When the hurricane hit, Emilia’s home was completely swept away, and her sons’ homes and business were destroyed as well. Reflecting on this loss, Emilia recalls: “It has been so very hard and sad. When I realized I lost everything, I was devastated. On the other hand, I was so grateful I was alive and that I was not in the house when it was swept away.”
Having been a part of the Bounty & Soul community for some time, Emilia knew exactly where to turn for help. In addition to providing her with food and nourishment, Bounty & Soul supported Emilia and her family on their journey to recovery. “I now have a home,” Emilia shares. Through community connections, Bounty & Soul was able to locate an RV for her, giving her a safe place to rebuild her life.
“I see HOPE. I am happy because I have a place to live and sleep and renew my life.”
