Cheeze Sauce
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup of coconut milk (other nut milk can be used but higher fat content the better the sauce)
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp tapioca flour can substitute arrowroot flour or corn starch
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp onion powder optional
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder optional, can use fresh cloves, too
- Pinch of smoked paprika optional
Instructions
- Put all ingredients into a saucepan and stir with a whisk.
- Once everything is combined, turn on heat and bring the mixture to a bowl while stirring constantly.
- Let simmer on low to medium heat for about one minute until the sauce is stretchy.
- Enjoy this sauce with nachos, on pizza, over pasta, quinoa, brown rice, or lentisl!

Because of its cheesy and savory flavor, nutritional yeast is very popular in vegan cooking. It also has several health benefits! Nutritional yeast is a complete protein, and contains all nine essential amino acids important in a human diet. It also contains several B vitamins.
