Golden Milk Banana N(ice cream)

Ingredients

  • 1 can 13.5 oz- Coconut Milk (or ½ cup plant milk)
  • 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tbsp Ginger Powder
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon, Cardamon, & Freshly Ground Black Pepper (for absorption of turmeric)
  • 2 tbsp Honey, Agave, Stevia leaf, or Pure Maple syrup
  • 2 Frozen bananas sliced
  • Water- As Needed

Instructions

  • Combine coconut milk and water in saucepan and bring to simmer. Once simmering, add in spices and honey. Allow to simmer 15 minutes to infuse flavors. Transfer to ice cube trays once cooled to room temperature and freeze. Add golden milk ice cubes, bananas, 1 TBSP of water to a blender and slowly start blending using a tamper. Add more water as needed to achieve desired consistency. Top with nuts/seeds or your favorite berries! ALTERNATIVE: Add all ingredients into a blender and blend. OPTION: Turn into a Banana Sundae by slicing open a banana and topping with nice cream, nuts/seeds, dark chocolate, etc.

Notes

Turmeric and Ginger are considered the anti-inflammatory power houses! Add a little bit of black pepper to your golden milk for maximum anti-inflammatory absorption. Piperine(black pepper) enhances curcumin(turmeric) absorption in the body by up to 2,000%, combining the spices magnifies their effect.
