Two Trees Beverage Co. Supports Bounty & Soul with Award-Winning Bourbon
Asheville, NC – October 7, 2025 – Two Trees Beverage Company, a subsidiary of MDWerks, Inc., has recently launched Uplifting Spirits, a new product line focused on supporting community and charitable causes. The debut product, Land of the Sky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, is a limited-edition release crafted to aid Hurricane Helene relief through Bounty & Soul and support environmental initiatives with Asheville GreenWorks.
In September 2024, Hurricane Helene caused catastrophic damage and loss of life in Western North Carolina, the home of Two Trees Beverage Company. In response, Two Trees has pledged 10% of profits from Land of the Sky sales to organizations supporting hurricane recovery and climate resilience.
“Western North Carolina is home to not only our businesses but our team members,” said Steven Laker, Chief Executive Officer of MDWerks. “Everyone in the area – neighbors, friends, and fellow businesses – was affected in some way by this devastating storm. We wanted to create a product that not only benefits the community but also captures the spirit and energy of this beautiful part of America. By encapsulating actual wood from the region, we bring that energy to each sip of Land of the Sky whiskey. This limited-edition whiskey is the first product in our new Uplifting Spirits line, which will serve as a platform for providing resources to those in need.”
A Bourbon Born of Resilience
Land of the Sky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is crafted from a mash bill of corn, wheat, and malted barley, aged for at least three years in hand-selected barrels, and finished with toasted white oak sourced from a tree that fell on a company employee’s home during Hurricane Helene. Sustainable maturation practices were used throughout production, reflecting Two Trees’ commitment to environmental stewardship. The bourbon has earned recognition at the New York International Spirits Competition 2025, judged by trade buyers, mixologists, restaurateurs, and distributors.
The ongoing collaboration continues with the next run of Land of the Sky Bourbon, supporting recovery efforts across Western North Carolina.
