September is Hunger Action Month!

As September kicks off, Bounty & Soul is excited to celebrate Hunger Action Month.

This national initiative was started by “Feeding America” to raise awareness and rally support for food-security efforts. Over the last ten years, Bounty & Soul has worked with 72 farms and more than 80,000 volunteers to distribute at no cost over 7 million pounds of food to people who needed and wanted fresh, locally grown food. Here are some actions you can take to make a difference in the lives of those who struggle with food insecurity and health-related challenges that it brings.

These actions make the Bounty happen!

  • Visit restaurants and featured-local spots to celebrate our shared passion for a healthier, happier WNC. Join us in celebrating by supporting these local businesses throughout September, where a portion of all proceeds will directly benefit Bounty & Soul.
  • Spread the word, far and wide to your networks to help fight food insecurity.
  • Stay Engaged with Bounty & Soul: donate, volunteer at our markets, Hub, or admin offices, help with fundraising, or visit our website to learn more about the food insecurity right here in our community.
  • Buy from local farmers or farmers’ markets to help support sustainable agriculture and improve food access in WNC.

We invite you to learn more about what we do, and how you can take action with us during Hunger Action Month by visiting  our calendar of events as well as our month-long fundraisers with a variety of local businesses. Stay tuned for more details coming soon on our social media page as we continue to add more partners and events throughout the month! With you by our side, there will be enough for everyone!
